You can eat food anywhere, but we’ve put together a list of incredible restaurants with the full package including excellent food, a wonderful atmosphere, and something special that makes each of them unique.

The Outpost

Our first restaurant is one that offers up classic southern charm and food to match. The Outpost is conveniently located between Pickwick Landing State Park and Savannah and provides a wide spectrum of goods and services. You’ll experience true Southern hospitality in the restaurant as you enjoy the rustic atmosphere and classic food ranging from chocolate gravy and biscuits to baby back ribs. In the same building, you’ll find the General Store where you can pick up your very own Outpost apparel, souvenirs, homemade jams and pickled foods, and much more. Once you’ve had dinner and checked out the store, it’s time to check out, and check into, The Prospector, the Outpost’s cozy bed and breakfast. A peaceful night’s rest away from busy city life is followed by a full breakfast for two in the morning. Before you leave, be sure to take a look at the handmade wood crafts and chainsaw sculptures, made by the Outpost’s resident craftsmen, and get a little something to commemorate your time at this relaxing Southern getaway. Once you experience The Outpost Pickwick residents love, you’ll see why it’s such a hit with all who stop in for a bite.

The Captain’s Galley

The Pickwick Inn restaurant also offers a full menu of wines, beers, and mixed drinks perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing, sporting, or boating.

Freddy T’s

The final, and most diverse, restaurant on our list is Freddy T’s Restaurant and Beach Club. This local favorite contains four unique experiences under one roof. Inside you’ll find Freddy T’s Restaurant, Club 50, The Rooftop, and The Beach Club. The downstairs restaurant provides diners with a tropical atmosphere and a wide variety of dining options to satisfy every kind of appetite. Diners can choose classic Southern options like shrimp and grits, ribs, and fried pickles or opt for something a little different like tuna tartare, fish tacos, or shrimp scampi. Freddy T’s Restaurant also offers an impressive selection of wine and bourbon to complement every meal.

For something more casual, guests can head upstairs to The Rooftop for live music, a relaxing open deck atmosphere, and casual dining classics including mini tacos, chicken wings, and corn dogs. When the sun goes down, however, the fun at Freddy T’s is just getting started. At Club 50, guests enjoy live music, pool, and darts in a laid-back atmosphere. Head through the door to the Beach Club and you’ll find a high-energy nightclub complete with three bars, in-house DJ, impressive lighting, and central dance floor.
